ℹ️ Below is the general triage for patients arriving for care in the office. Situations arise that can cause this system to break down, but we strive to follow it as best as possible.
Patients on Time
- Care flow for patients with multiple services should be established based on team availability.
- Adjustment flow should be left to D.C.s if there are no other services for that patient.
- D.C. should always be notified when a patient is waiting for an adjustment. Use the chat.
- Sending a flow (i.e., patient 2, patient 1, then patient 3) for clarity on patient scheduled and arrival time can be helpful to the adjusting D.C.(s)
Patients Early/Late
- Patients who arrive at their scheduled time get priority.
- Early patients can wait until adjusting time is available, but that should be communicated to them.
- Patients can also be seen by a different D.C. than they’re scheduled with, as long as that is communicated to the patient.
- Patients who are late can wait until adjusting time is available and should typically be triaged after patients who arrive early.
