💡
Traditionally, patients don’t understand paying for exams and testing. They are happy to pay for care, but do not like paying for tests. This is why we are deliberate in building real value for the examination elements. Our job is to “make the case” for further examination, building curiosity and urgency.

Scan Rooms

Now we will start checking you for indicators of nerve irritation that may be caused by a subluxation.

☑️
Refer to picture one. (Vertebral Subluxation)

This is an illustration of subluxation.  Subluxation occurs when one of your spinal bones is jarred out of its healthy position, damaging the soft tissue and the disc.  Like a sprained ankle, this creates swelling and inflammation which irritates the nervous system.

☑️
Refer to pictures two and three. (“What’s Normal,” and “…spinal decay is a problem.”

If a subluxation is left uncorrected or undetected the spine begins to degenerate.  Over time, this will not only irritate the nerve – but the entire spinal cord itself.  If this degeneration gets bad enough, it is visible on x-ray.

☑️
Refer to picture three. (Nervous System Diagram)

That is significant because, as you probably know, the nervous system is the master system in the body.  It controls all cells, tissues, and organs.  If this goes unchecked or uncorrected, this condition can manifest as many different symptoms that people struggle with every day…. like (reference their chief complaint or conditions).

PATIENT, next I am going to do three NASA certified scans on your nervous system to detect how STRESS is impacting your overall health.  I know your CHIEF COMPLAINT is your primary concern, but we will be checking your entire spine a lot like a dentist would check your entire mouth and not just the tooth that is bothering you.

Does that make sense?
☑️
While preparing to do the Rolling Thermal Scan

This instrument measures differences in temperature which helps us locate areas of inflammation which is one indicator of a subluxation. If you’ll place your feet flat on the floor and your hands on your knees palms facing up. Then hold as still as possible through all of these tests.

☑️
While preparing to do the EMG.

The next scan evaluates the function and balance of the muscles that support your spine.  Color on the scan results is another indicator of subluxation in your spine.  So, we want a clear scan!

☑️
While preparing to do the Heart Rate Variability test.

Lastly, this piece of equipment measures your heart rate variability.  This helps the doctor determine the overall tension and stress on your nervous system and it’s ability to adapt to the environment.

You will simply place the three fingers on your left hand in this machine.  I will ask that you do not talk on your phone during this time to get the most accurate readings.  This will take about 3 minutes all together. You’ll see a notification on the screen when it is done. After it finishes, please get dressed and remain in the room.  After you are dressed if you would please crack the door open and that will let us know that you are ready.

I’m going to go over all of this with the doctor and then we’ll be back in so he can go over your scans and posture pictures with you and do a complete spinal exam. I’ll be joining him to take notes.
