ℹ️ Patients who are on a plan are expected to keep up with the frequency of adjustments recommended by their doctor. This expectation ensures that patients will receive the full benefit of their care plan.
If a patient misses an appointment, they are asked to reschedule that appointment within 24 hours of their originally scheduled time. If they are unable to come in within 24hrs we ask that they reschedule within the current week.
We make this easy for them by:
- Sending texts within 20 min of their missed appointment so that they can reschedule by simply replying to our reminder.
- Providing the scheduling app so they can reschedule on their own.
- Moving their appointment to a similar day/time and confirming the new appointment with them, allowing them to change the appointment if necessary.
If a patient misses an appointment and doesn’t reply to our MUD text, proceed to the MUD Tracking Procedure.
If a patient comes to an appointment and has MUDS that need to be completed, an alert will be entered for their doctor, which will inform the D.C. to mention the make-up dates and to walk them up to the front desk for scheduling. The doctor should discuss the importance of maintaining a rhythm of adjustments and refer to the front desk for details on the number of appointments missed and the schedule. [Script]
