Patient is Early/Late #
I see you’re about ## minutes early. I’m going to check with the team to see if we can get you in a little earlier. There may be a bit of a wait but we’ll see what we can do.
CICA let the team know that the patient is here but is early. Suggest a flow for them based on the schedule and allow whatever team members involved with their care that day to take the appointment order from there.
If the patient goes straight to an adjustment, alert the D.C.s who the patient is, how early they are, and what doctors are approved to adjust them. If there are no doctors specified, let the D.C.s know that anyone can take. The doctors should manage their flow from there.
This process is similar if a patient is late. Let the patient know they are late and that we’ll do our best but they may have to wait for the team to come available to help them. If a part of their care is impossible that day, let them know that you can reschedule that part of their care.
