Maintenance BOT may be recommended for patients starting at their R1. The cost is $30 each, nearly half the price of regular BOT
Procedure:
D.C. Adds Maintenance BOT on the recommendations for an R1 or after. (Check the “Maint:” box on the recs sheet.)
The discount (difference between the total of $55 and the total of $30 BOT) is added to the Therapy Discount section of the care plan calculator.
The patient can see the discount and total cost on the care plan financial agreement sheet.
BOT is completed, and charges are input like a regular BOT
The discount is added at the end of the care plan, like the adjustment discount.
