To start your exam, we are going to take a picture of your posture.  Your posture is the window to your spine.

In a healthy body a normal posture means that your head is balanced over your shoulders and the shoulders are balanced over the hips; and the spine is straight up and down.

It makes sense that this is the strongest position, right?
It also makes sense that a healthy body will be balanced and will carry its weight evenly on each foot, right?

If you do have nerve irritation your body is smart, it will lean away or twist away from the irritation to allow the nerve to breathe.  This gives us 2 things that we can measure.

1. Posture shifts away from normal, and

2. A difference in how you carry your weight.

Does that make sense?

Any deviation away from a balanced posture is a significant indicator of subluxation.

So let’s check you.

First stand in front of the wall facing me.  Stand relaxed with your hands at your sides.  Close your eyes and nod your head up and down 3 times.  Stop when you are looking straight ahead and open your eyes.

Now, let’s check your posture from the side. Turn to your left to face that wall. Close your eyes and nod your head up and down 3 times please, and then look ahead at the computer on that wall.
